As a lifelong educator and champion of effective communication, Professor Joan Pierre brings a wealth of experience in mentorship and leadership to the organization. Currently an Adjunct Professor in The School of Business at LIU-Brooklyn, she spent 17 years prior guiding undergraduate and graduate students, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their academic goals. This deep experience in fostering potential is a cornerstone of her commitment to our work. Her contributions to Act of Random Kindness are multifaceted. As a Distinguished Toastmaster with over 18 years of experience, she serves as a powerful voice for kindness, articulating our mission with passion and clarity. She provides invaluable strategic guidance on shaping our message and building a strong online presence, drawing from her background in teaching Managerial Communication and Online Branding. Moreover, her skills are directly applicable to empowering our team, as she can develop training programs to help volunteers become more confident and effective advocates. Tying everything together, her Master’s Degree in Public Administration and experience in Project Management bring the structural knowledge needed to transform our compassionate ideas into successful, well-executed initiatives.
