Danielle Medina is actively growing the whole food, plant-based community through education, curriculum design, and media. She holds a degree in Food Science and Nutrition, a Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies, American College of Lifestyle Medicine and is a licensed Food for Life instructor with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. Through her business, Fit N Play Mama LLC, Danielle offers family-friendly cooking classes and wellness programs. She is also the creator of the Cook N Play Summer Camp, which focuses on plant-based cooking, nature exploration, and movement for children.
Danielle is the founder of the Healthy Living Starts Here™ video project, which transforms healthcare waiting rooms into wellness rooms by providing engaging, evidence-based health education content for patients and families. This project is in partnership with Krishna Desai, MD, Assistant Professor at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, and is currently being piloted on location.
Danielle was a panelist at the 2nd Annual Plant-Based Nutrition & Health Conference at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, New York, where she presented on Plant-Based Nutrition and Athletic Performance. Her expertise has also been recognized through her work with Plant Powered Metro New York, NYC Health + Hospitals and her contributions featured in lifestyle magazines, webinars, workshops, and cooking classes.
In addition, Danielle is a longtime fitness and yoga instructor, bringing over 20 years of experience to her work. She especially loves sharing the kitchen with her daughter and showing families how to prepare meals that nourish both body and spirit.
